As a proactive long term investor in rapidly growing companies, my role is to identity new opportunities and negotiate the investment terms. I then work closely with entrepreneurs & senior management to agree the corporate strategy; advise on its execution and monitor the company’s performance against plan. I am often closely involved in specific projects such as recruitment of senior staff; financial structuring, negotiating material commercial contracts and M&A. In short, my role is to work in partnership with management to maximise the company’s value over the long term, typically 3 - 7 years, before then managing the sale of our holding or the entire company to a new owner capable of taking the business to the next stage.
